need advice

Some time ago I made a multi-strand, twisted necklace.  Recently as I was unpacking this necklace, I noticed the strands had untwisted.  I would like some advice on how to re-twist the strands and keep them twisted while inserting them into sterling silver cones then adding the clasp halves.  Any one interested in viewing some of my creations can browse at etsy.com search for mollsmall.
