Were you aware there are 10 types of off loom bead weaving stitches?
The word bead comes from the Anglo-Saxon bede, meaning "prayer". Stone Age people made beads from animals' teeth, often used for bartering.  Some American Indians traded with strings of beads called wampum.

Apple season

We (hubby and myself) picked our apples this past weekend.  Now I must sort through and save the better ones to give away.
Sent a box of apples to my daughter in NY
Gave a large paper grocery bag to my friend the dental assisstant
Waiting for one friend to replay on the apples
Hoping to give some to my inlaws
I found a good recipe for apple slab pie (it's made in a large rectangular pan)

Samples of custom orders and samples of various techniques

The first one was made for a contest.....didn't win anything, but it was a good experience.
The second one was a custom order for a friend.
The third one was a birthday gift for my mother in law.
The fourth one was made for me, just because.

A wrap/stack bracelet to show support for October cancer awareness.  This is for sale in my etsy.com/shop/mollsmall.....receive a free pair of earrings with purchase.

My current project in progress

I was anxious to try the new CzechMates beads....so I started with the brick beads.  I am using another designers pattern.  Maybe with time I will become braver and design my own.

using social media to promote your online business

So I took a class last night titled, Using Social Media to Promote your Online Business.  I have not done the required home work yet, but I will work on it this coming week.  Part 2 of the class is next week.  I hope these classes pay off  in the long run.  The hasn't been much traffic to my etsy shop in a few weeks.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
